What is SCRIP?
Scrip is a fundraising program where people can purchase gift cards or certificates to use for everyday purchases such as groceries, gas, retail stores, home improvement stores, restaurants and more! Simply use these gift certificates where you already shop or eat instead of paying by cash. You can earn money for your tuition and also for St. Pius X School.
Scrip is gift certificates or debit cards from stores that you shop at every day. The Scrip program buys these certificates from a national company and from local businesses at a discount and resells them at face value. You then use the certificates like cash for your purchases at these businesses. There are over 200 businesses in our program.
The Scrip program purchases these gift certificates at a discounted rate (chosen by the merchant) then sells to our customers at full face value. The profit is split with 60% going to the school and used to offset scrip expenses. The remaining 40% profit can be used for tuition reimbursement (called TRIP). Your trip profit can be used to offset tuition at St. Pius X School, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool, St. Pius or St. Elizabeth Religious Education, or tuition at Regis or Xavier.
Who Can Use SCRIP?
Anyone may purchase Scrip and donate their profit to any family. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, coworkers...anyone may purchase Scrip for any family's account.
How Can You START?
Just download an order form. Fill in the top part of the form with your name, address and phone and where you wish your profit to go, (if you are giving your profit to someone please specify the family and the school). Drop the form at the school office.
