Registration Procedures - St. Pius X School
Individual Student Registration
Register returning student(s) online at https://www.myschoolsystems.com/registration/StPiusX You will need the Powerschool password for each student (students are registered one-at-a-time).
Most of the information is pre-loaded for returning students. Just review the information, fill in the blanks, and click ‘submit’. After you submit, the system will open the “Tuition Contract” for you to print and complete. Return this “Tuition Contract” to the school office by May 1st (one per family).
New students (and returning students, if you choose) may use the REGISTRATION FORM. Registration forms should be returned to the school office by May 1st. Note: a separate form/online registration is required for each student.
If you have a change of plans and your student(s) will not be attending St. Pius X School, please let us know as soon as possible, as we have waiting lists for several grade levels. To hold your spots for next year, make sure you complete registration (including returning the Tuition Contract to the office) by May 1st.
Tuition Contract
Each family must complete and return a TUITION CONTRACT form to the school office by May 1st. (One form per family, provided the tuition arrangements are the same). Tuition rates are listed on the TUITION SUMMARY form. You will receive a detailed tuition invoice by August 1st.

Transportation
Busing routes information from the prior school year will be used for returning students. If you need to ADD or CHANGE your busing information, please download the TRANSPORTATION REQUEST form and return it to the school office by May 1st. Complete a Transportation Request Form to request busing for kindergarteners and new students.
Dress Code
Policy is available online STUDENT DRESS CODE. Dress code clothing can be purchased online at www.dennisuniform.com school code PXS. “Spirit Wear” (School t-shirts/sweatshirts) will be available for purchase in the weeks surrounding the first day of school.
Lunch
Visit the school website for FOOD SERVICE INFORMATION. Free/Reduced school lunch applications will be available after July 1, 2008. Bring or send a check to school before the 1st day of school to fund your student’s lunch account. The lunch menu will be emailed to you monthly, and is also available for download from our website.
School Supplies
Supplies should be brought to your student’s classroom on ‘Meet Your Teacher’ afternoon (Monday, August 25th from 12-4 pm). The supply list will be posted on the school website by June 1st. PTO also sells pre-packaged school supplies. PTO will be providing a separate form for purchasing these supplies.
Medication Administration Form
Complete the MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FORM if you will be providing either prescription or over-the-counter medication for your student to take during the school day. If you child takes medication at school, a new form must be completed each year. The form must be signed by the prescribing physician. Bring both the form, and the medication (including over-the-counter) to the school office.
Before/After School Daycare
St. Pius X offers before and after school daycare for students. Drop-in care is available, however pre-registration is required. Daycare registration forms will be available on the school website, under the “Daycare” tab.
Volunteer Requirements
- Virtus Training – Required one-time for all school volunteers. Register at www.Virtus.org. Provide a copy of Certificate of Attendance to the school office.
- BACKGROUND CHECK (Verification Form) – Required one-time for all school volunteers.
- GENERAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM – Required for all school volunteers. Complete a new form each school year.
Scrip
Following is the Board of Education Scrip Policy: “A $100 SCRIP fee will be assessed to each family. Any family whose SCRIP purchases benefit to the school was at least $100 for the preceding SCRIP fiscal year will be exempt from the SCRIP fee. For those families whose SCRIP purchases benefit the school at least $100, the SCRIP fee will be credited to the following year's tuition. For those who do not use SCRIP to that level or not at all, the $100 will become part of the school's third source income.” Download the scrip order forms from the school website.
TRIP REGISTRATION FORM (Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program). Complete this form only if there are changes in how your TRIP is allocated for next school year.
Class Lists
Class lists will be e-mailed to parents in approximately mid-August
Powerschool & Daily Bulletin
Powerschool is the school information database. Parents will receive Powerschool log-on information for their student(s) and may log-on to view attendance information. School announcements are sent via “Daily Bulletin” email.
Meet Your Teacher Afternoon
Scheduled for Monday August 25th. Drop-by anytime between 12-4 pm. Bring your student to meet their teacher and deliver school supplies. Remember to drop off your lunch deposit to the school office. The first day of school will be Tuesday August 26th (early dismissal 12:15).
New Family Welcome Night
This social event for new families will be held on Thursday August 14th, at 6pm.
Back-to-School Night
The traditional ‘back-to-school’ night will not be held. Information will be provided as we approach the beginning of school regarding volunteer sign-up instructions. You may mail or drop off your tuition payments and lunch account deposits to the school office any time after August 1st.
