Elementary School Dress Code
St. Jude/St. Ludmila

The purpose of the dress code is to promote a sense of pride and community among students attending Holy Family Schools. We expect all students and parents to abide by the following guidelines. Parents of students in violation of the school attire guidelines will be notified.

Pants: plain, floor length dress pants in khaki, navy blue, black, or gray

Shirts: collared short sleeve and long sleeve polo, dress shirt or turtleneck in solid (one color only) white, red, dark green and navy blue

Skirts/Dresses: jumper, skirt, skorts or cullotes in school Black Watch Plaid from the designated company or in solid colors of navy, black, khaki, or gray

Sweaters/Vests: any solid color, any style; must have a dress code color collared shirt worn beneath; sweater turtlenecks must be in dress code colors; Holy Family sweatshirts are allowed

Shorts: dress shorts or capris in navy blue, black or khaki, or gray allowed only in the months of August/September and May/June, or at administrators' discretion depending on weather

Miscellaneous:
*Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
*Shoes: any style, non-marking sole, closed toes and heels; socks required at all times
*Brownie, Campfire, Scout groups and other approved clubs may wear their uniforms on meeting days.
*All clothes must be in good repair.
*Appropriate length of shirts, shorts and skirts are required to maintain modesty.
*No insignias or logos, except the Holy Family Logo, are allowed.
*Simple earrings allowed.

*Spirit Days: Students may dress in school spirit colors (silver, black, blue and green) and school logo tops and jeans or sweats. Xavier spirit wear are also acceptable. Students not observing Spirit Day must be in regular dress code.

*Dress-up Days: Dress code or better. Students must dress appropriately and modestly. No jeans allowed.
*Free dress passes are allowed only on non-liturgy days.

Not allowed: Jeans; excessive zippers, buttons, or adornment; stretch pants; dangling earrings; military or cowboy boots; roller blade shoes; hooded sweaters, shirts, or sweatshirts; non-Holy Family sweatshirts; hats; outerwear jackets; sandals; make-up; inappropriate hair color or style
