Student Council

St. Joseph School Student Council provides an opportunity for students to develop leadership and responsibility. Officers and permanent homeroom representatives were elected during September, and elections for quarter temporary representatives take place during each quarter of the school year.

Meetings during second quarter have been used to plan Christmas activities for the entire school and the annual 7th/8th lock-in on February 1st.

Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held Wednesday mornings at 7:15 AM. This group plans all-school activities and service projects throughout the year.

Eighth Grade Class

The annual 8th grade ski trip is on January 11th. We will leave St. Joseph Catholic School at 6:15 a.m. to go to Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois. We will each have a lesson, and then stay until 6:00 p.m. Students raise the money to provide the day for the entire class.

Fundraising during the remainder of the year will go to provide class gifts to the school. The class will decide how to spend the money raised to help their school.

Past gifts have included the school sign, the rock and stone walls at the front of the school, the cross in the gym, the atomic clocks for every classroom, the water table currently being used by the pre-school, the statue of St. Joseph in the hall, the wall plaque honoring the Sisters of Mercy who served as principals of St. Joseph School, and the new benches in front of the school, etc.
