Accreditation
The academic curriculum is approved by the Archdiocese of Dubuque and
accredited by the State of Iowa. The faculty has been certified by
the State of Iowa.
Catholic
Formation
St. Joseph Catholic School provides daily religious education classes,
direct
living faith experiences, weekly liturgy planning and participation,
service
opportunities, and sacramental and prayer experiences

Technology
St. Joseph Catholic School has a 28-station state-of-the-art computer
lab and a full time technology
instructor. There are computers in every classroom that are cabled for
Internet.
Co-Curricular
Activities
Activities include: Treble Choir, Mixed Choir, Elementary Concert Band,
Middle School Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab, Pep Band, Wind
Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Marching Band, art classes, LEGO League,
Student Council, Eighth Grade Class Officers, Spring Musical, F.S.E.A.,
S.O.D.A., D.A.R.E., Metro Catholic Speech Contest, Math Counts,
Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, Yearbook, The Messenger, Arts Festival, and
Mock Trial.
Athletics
St. Joseph's 7th - 8th grade girls and boys teams compete in the
Tri-Rivers Conference as a member of the IHSAA and IGHSAU. St. Joseph's
4th - 6th grade girls and boys teams compete in other local youth
leagues. Sports include: football, volleyball, wrestling, boys and
girls basketball, boys and girls track and field, softball, and
baseball.

Parent
Involvement
The Chargers is the parent organization assisting in coordinating
volunteers and fundraisers.
Support
Title I service is through the Marion Independent School District. The
school utilizes Grant
Wood Area Education Agency 10 services including a school psychologist,
speech
clinician, occupational therapist, educational consultant, and others.
Child
Care
The school operates a before and after school child care program.
