Results of the Revolutionary War

Would your group have gone to war to declare independence from Britan?
We deceided on no because we would have to build our country from the bottom up. Our whole economy, money system, trade, etc. are under the British rule. We would have to make our own laws, appoint leaders, right a constitution, and everything. We also wouldn't be able to afford it. We had to borrow a lot of money from France that we couldn't pay back. A lot of people were killed, too.

What were the major points that made your decision?
We wouldn't be in much dept and all those people wouldn't have died.

Did all group members agree with the decision?
No. Sara doesn't agree. She says that our independence is more important than economy and trade.

What are the alternatives to war?
We could have comprimised with Britin. We could have given them some power if they gave us some freedom. We could have given them half of our land and kept half of it for ourselves. We chose to have an alternative to war because it would be a more peaceful option. We would be starting our country out with peace not blood.
