The
First law they issued was
that the Boston Harbor was closing and wouldn't reopen until the
colonists paid for the tea that was dumped and they showed proper
authority to the British. Then they made the royal governor take
control over the Massachusetts government. Next all the sheriffs and
juries became royal appointees. Lastly the British took the right to
quarter soldiers anywhere in the colonies.
